Hailing from the Dominican Republic, NYC based Alina Landry Rancier is a filmmaker, video and motion graphics artist. She has over 14 years of experience working in design and post-production for commercials, short films, photoshoots, music videos, and social media content creation.
Her video art work has been presented in galleries, fairs, and museums in New York City, Miami, and Santo Domingo. Her short films and video art pieces have screened in galleries and festivals in New York City, Marfa, Berlin, London, Miami & Santo Domingo. She has collaborated for over 14 years in the field of motion graphics and advertising creating campaigns and multimedia pieces for international brands like Google, NY Times, HP, Mastercard, AMEX, PBS, Nike, Converse, and many more. As a Director she has created short documentaries for MGM Arts & Culture and Davidoff Cigars, has made music video for international bands in NYC & London.
Her films and video art are concerned with human behavior and the influence love and loss have on its metamorphosis. Within this, the exploration of fear and its influence on humanity remain her central focus, her compositions a reflection of a desire to document and reveal its impact on our characters. She strives to both expose and demystify the way we relate to our inner selves and the rest of humanity.
